Nokian Hakkapeliitta 4 is one among the special winter tires for passenger cars. The winner for European Auto Magazine Tire Tests for "˜Grip on Ice' is a studdable winter tire. The outer design of this Hakkapeliitta features wide quadrangle stud and sipes. The arrowhead tread design shows good traction on wet, snowy and icy roads with the ability to expel water, slush and mud under the tire for excellent lateral traction. The effective tread pattern ensures all-directional grip and the special diamond shape creates biting edges. The sipe activators enhance the ability to perform well on slippery conditions and for long durability, the tread is moulded from Canola Oil tread compound which increases the tear resistance of the tire. The internal design features jointless nylon belt which contribute to the extra stability of the tire.
