Why trust Tires & Co for your rims and complete wheels?

More than 2 million customers served since 2001

Tires & Co has been equipping motorists for more than two decades. This experience allows us to help customers choose of a rim beyond its appearance, taking into account the vehicle, its technical characteristics and the intended use.

A search that starts with your vehicle

On Tires & Co, you start by selecting your vehicle precisely. We then show you the models and sizes of wheels available for your configuration. On each product sheet, you can also consult the list of compatible vehicles.

This method avoids choosing a rim just because its diameter or center distance seems to match.

The characteristics of each rim are clearly displayed

Width, diameter, number of holes, centre distance, ET offset, bore and finish: the relevant data to choose from can be found directly on our product pages.

This allows you to compare two configurations and understand why two rims of the same diameter are not necessarily interchangeable.

Reviews that really relate to rims

Online tire customers can rate their rims according to several specific criteria: quality and finish, design, weight, winter resistance and value for money.

They can also specify their vehicle, explain their experience and indicate whether they would buy the same rims. This feedback complements the technical information with the real experience of other motorists.

Complete wheels already fitted to facilitate the change of seasons

Tires & Co also offers complete summer or winter wheels combining tires with alloy or steel rims compatible with the vehicle. They are delivered assembled and balanced, ready to be fitted to the vehicle.

Our role is not just to offer a catalogue of wheels. We give you the information you need to identify a suitable configuration, check the dimensions, find out what equipment is supplied and consult feedback from drivers who have already used the model.

Our guides to choosing the right rims

How do I know if a rim is compatible with my vehicle?

Start by entering the make, model, year and engine of your vehicle in our search engine. Tires & Co will then show you the rims available for the configuration you have entered. Compatibility depends on diameter, width, centre distance, offset, bore and braking system, among other things. So check that the vehicle you have selected corresponds exactly to yours, especially if you have a sporty finish or a particular engine.

Our tips for choosing your rims

Can I fit larger rims than the original ones?

Yes, your vehicle can sometimes accept several wheel diameters. However, it is not enough to go from 17 to 18 inches, for example: you must also choose a compatible tire size in order to maintain a suitable package for the vehicle.

After entering your vehicle, select only the diameters offered as compatible. If you want to adopt a size that is not included in the results, check it with the manufacturer or a professional before ordering.

What is the difference between the centre distance and the bore?

The center-to-center describes the number of mounting holes and the diameter of the circle on which they are positioned. A 5x112 indication corresponds to five holes spread over a 112 mm circle.

The bore is the diameter of the opening in the center of the rim. This opening is positioned on the hub of the vehicle. If the rim bore is larger than the hub, a suitable centering ring may be required.

Both of these measurements must be compatible with your vehicle: a rim with the right diameter but the wrong centre distance cannot be fitted.

What is the ET offset?

The offset, indicated by the AND value, determines the position of the rim in relation to the hub.

At the same rim width, a lower ET usually moves the wheel to the outside of the wheel arch. A higher ET brings it closer to the interior, especially the suspension elements and the braking system. An incorrect value can therefore lead to incorrect positioning or friction.

You should not choose the ET just to change the appearance of the vehicle. Use the vehicle selection to view the proposed values for your configuration.

Are the screws supplied with the rims?

The information is specified on our product pages. If the original wheel bolts or nuts are not suitable for the new rim, the fitting kit for your vehicle is included free of charge for the relevant models.

Before ordering, consult the description of the selected rim to check the conditions applicable to your configuration.

Are my TPMS pressure sensors compatible with the new rims?

Start by identifying your vehicle's system. With indirect TPMS, no electronic sensors are installed in the rim: a pressure loss is detected from the differences in wheel speed measured by the ABS sensors.

With direct TPMS, each wheel has a sensor. The new wheels must therefore receive compatible sensors programmed for your vehicle. When configuring full wheels, select the TPMS option offered when your vehicle is equipped with it.

After installation, some vehicles automatically recognize the new sensors. Others require a reset from the on-board computer or the intervention of a professional.

Should I choose alloy wheels or steel wheels for winter?

Sheet metal wheels are often chosen for a second winter equipment because of their simplicity and their generally more accessible price.

Alloy wheels can also be used in winter, provided that you choose a model with a finish that is adapted to the conditions encountered. Some rims have, for example, a paint and varnish reinforced against salt and gravel impacts. This characteristic must be checked in the model description, as it does not necessarily apply to all alloy wheels.

The choice depends on your budget, the style you are looking for, the frequency of exposure to salt and the maintenance you are willing to do.
